Sedona Arizona Family Photoshoot
MothEr, DauGhter, Wolf aNd Cat PhotoShooT
I love it when cats go on walks with their humans. So I was delighted and surprised when the fluffy gorgeous kitty came along. I mean, these two have a WOLF and a BLACK CAT. Come on! Does not get more magical than that. I met this lovely lady walking along this creek one morning as she was walking her wolf dog, Chief. I fell in love with him instantly.
TIPS AND TRICKS FOR YOUR SEDONA FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT
My photoshoots are not stiff and posed. It’s more like walking hand in hand along dusty trails. Laughing as the wind catches your hair. Climbing rocks, walking barefoot, twirling dresses, sharing quiet moments in between.
The best photos happen when you’re simply together — not trying, not forcing, just being. Stick to neutrals + earthy tones (cream, tan, rust, sage) Avoid bright neons or busy patterns
Flowy dresses, linen, and soft textures photograph beautifully
Bring 1–2 outfit options if you want to. These two did not want to and that is ok!
Think: timeless, natural, effortless.
Chief is a real wolf dog! He is HUGE! And a giant baby. I love him so much. He is a weary of humans so we shot with him close to their home and then went on to the second location. YES they get to live across the street from this magical beautiful creek. It is where I enjoy many of my morning walks with my trusty pug who loves the water and shade in the Arizona climate.

This mamma texted me after we shot that is was very empowering for this little one to get a photoshoot showcasing her. She is such a doll, what a gift! When you intentionally step into a session together, you’re telling your child: You matter. You belong in this story.
They’re not just in the background of busy life — they are part of something meaningful. Being included, guided, and celebrated in front of the camera builds a quiet kind of confidence that stays with them. When your child looks back at these images, they don’t just see a photo.
They see how they were loved, how they were held.
how they were part of something meaningful.
It becomes part of their identity.
What to Wear
Keep it simple and natural:
Flowy dresses or soft fabrics
Neutral or earthy tones that complement the landscape
Barefoot or simple sandals
The goal is to feel comfortable, connected, and free to move.
The seasons of motherhood and daughterhood are always changing. But moments like this — captured in a place as breathtaking as Sedona —
allow you to hold onto a piece of it forever. And that’s something truly worth remembering.
I GUIDE YOU THE ENTIRE SHOOT!! You do not need to know how to pose.
