I photograph families with the approach that each family is a beautiful and unique piece of art. There is none other like you. YOU made this. What is art if not a beautiful creation?
During our family session together, you will get a ton of direction from me. Put your mind at ease-don’t worry about feeling awkward. I love capturing emotion and those beautiful in between moments. I want to show the connection and the love between all of you- and I will help you draw this out.
I will not force you to be something you’re not. Our session together will feel more like friends taking a nature walk, giving you plenty of natural posing to showcase the story of who you are right now. I am easy going and patient, and I love working with kids.
Although I do capture a few of those necessary “smile and look at the camera” images, my work is more focused on the love between you.

MINI FAMILY SESSIONS

Minis are great for the kids who just cannot last, older kids who just really don’t want to be there, they are absolutely great for winter time and for those who just need an updated portrait session or Christmas/New Years card.
Wondering which is for you? Mini vs. Full session
Full sessions are amazing for a few reasons. Let’s say we are at Lincoln Park- we are free shoot in different areas of the forest, and also shoot down at the beach, adding diversity to your gallery. Many of my family sessions take an hour and a half, and a lot of the magic happens in the middle or later in the session when the kids warm up. Minis are more smiling and looking at the camera, and full sessions you get much more connection.
Mini Sessions take place at Lincoln Park in West Seattle.

Maternity, Motherhood, new babies. Sigh, I love it all. Maybe it’s because I have never seen a newborn photo of myself. Isn’t that wild? Maybe because I will never stop being in awe of what woman and our bodies are capable of. Pure magic.
I love telling the story of your family starting at the beginning.
Maternity Sessions are usually about 75-90 minutes, we walk around and I help you pose(boss you around.) Feel free to bring a few different outfits. Bare belly shots are encouraged.
Newborn sessions:
Snuggle up with your newborn baby in either your home, the studio I use, or outdoors in nature.
Whether you're showing off the nursery you worked so hard on or relaxing on a blanket together taking in the scenery, you'll enjoy your family while I document this time in your lives. These are lifestyle sessions, which means we will focus more on your love for each other. I will give gentle direction but these are not heavily posed sessions.

Shooting in the studio in the PNW winter is a great escape from the cold. The studio is perfect for woman who are looking to feel empowered, newborn sessions, intimate couples sessions, maternity, and even family sessions. Family sessions with small kids in the studio tend to be a little quicker, and are the same price as my family shoots listed above. This is only because it can be hard to keep the kids entertained inside the studio (outside there are tons of things such as walking, throwing the kiddos in air ect. that just isn’t a thing inside.
