Seattle Senior Photographer | Music-Inspired Urban Senior Session
Senior Photos were a lot different when I was a young lady. Mine were in a studio done by a man who knew nothing about posing, haha. He was even kind of rude to me telling me that I squinted my eyes too much when I smiled. He was probably frustrated because it costed money with film back then. His rude remark(maybe I was just sensitive who knows) has made me vow to never traumatize a teen in such away.
I do boss them around though, in a playful way - and that is part of what makes the shoot what it becomes.
Well I am proud to date myself in such a way with the senior photo story, and I’m honored that senior photography has changed so much. It’s the wild wild west, anything goes! Vintage vibes, music, fashion, city, nature, horses, dogs, whatever matches your style and I’m here for it!
We started this session at THE VOID in West Seattle. This gal wanted Thunder Road Guitars, but it was not open that day. The Void was super cool and did not mind us there at all. It’s a really cute place for snacks, coffee drinks - and cool vibes. This young lady is really into music and plays the bass so we incorporated that into the shoot. Our second stop was meant to be Easy Street Records in West Seattle -but it was so jam packed inside we shot a couple outside and went on to another record store in SODO - SILVER PLATTERS - which is very easy and fun to shoot and. Her mom bought her a record, and we moved on to Pioneer Square to finish the shoot.
This shot was so much fun. City vibes, Fashion vibes (her mom’s old beautiful coat) Music Vibes. The colors and textures. We had so much fun.
