From Sedona to the Pacific Northwest. A Family Story Years in the Making

What an absolutely magical evening up at Mt. Baker Wilderness! The air was a little smokey which was possibly why we almost had the place to ourselves. These guys were in town from Ohio and we just had an absolute blast, I am forever grateful.

Some photography sessions feel like a single moment in time, and then there are the sessions that remind you just how beautifully life comes full circle. Our first session together was a few years bacl in the red rocks of Sedona, surrounded by that otherworldly desert landscape.

We spent time together photographing that incredibly fleeting season of anticipation—the beginning of their journey into parenthood.

At the time, I had no idea I would one day see them again, years later, in an entirely different landscape with that same little baby now running around as a two-year-old.

And I certainly didn't expect our next session to take place on a beautiful mountain in the Pacific Northwest, with the three of them dressed in wedding clothes.

These two did not ever have a formal wedding, and they have been together for almost 20 years. So they had a wedding photoshoot - to symbolize their love for adventure and for each other.

And sometimes, you get to make your own version of the moment later.

As a photographer, I feel incredibly lucky when clients trust me with one chapter of their lives.

But when they come back years later and they live in Ohio. That's something else entirely.

It feels like being invited back into the story.

And this one was especially meaningful.

They brought their sister to be a part of the photos and to help wrangle Max, and a photo of Kelsey’s best friend who passed a few years ago. It was beautiful to have Ashley there in spirit.

My Artists Point Couple and Family Adventure Sessions

Investment - $1500. First step, we pick a date. Then, a $300 deposit to hold your date. Then we talk styling.

We shoot for an hour and a half - maybe even two hours with the walk and you get a gallery with 80-100+ images.

The weather is what it is for these sessions and are best done in August, September and October months. FALL is gorgeous. Summer has a better chance for sun.

It can be unpredictable weather up there and if our schedules allow I am ok with a rescheduling if it looks especially nasty. But small chance of rain or cloudy - we go for it!
