Women Empowerment Photoshoot at Lincoln Park: Playing with Light, Nature, and Movement

WHAT IS AN EMPOWERING STORYTELLING CINEMATIC SHOOT ALL ABOUT?

And in my favorite place, Lincoln Park West Seattle.

Stay tuned until the end, I offer a discount to shoot exclusively for this park.

This session wasn’t only about capturing what this gorgeous woman looked like. That part is easy and I do love to get some clean pretty shots. I also want to go beyond that and capture what it felt like to be her in that moment. Moving through light, connected to the earth, existing without apology. The ferns, the trees, the beams of light—they weren’t just part of the scene. They were part of the story. Lincoln Park is not some epic location, it’s a gorgeous, EASY, PRIVATE place to shoot if you love the forest vibe. There is also a beach that we can shoot at the end at. This lady said she wanted to stick to the forest.

The Beauty of Grain and Imperfection

These images aren’t meant to be overly polished. They carry grain, softness, movement—little imperfections that make them feel alive. Because real moments aren’t perfectly sharp.

They blur. They shift. They breathe.

And that’s what makes them feel like something you can step back into. She stood barefoot in the earth, wrapped in light and shadow, both soft and strong at the same time. There was no performance, no expectation—just a quiet confidence that grew the more she let herself be present.

That’s where empowerment lives.

Not in the perfection.

But in allowing yourself to exist fully, exactly as you are.

The above and below images are my ABSOLUTE favorites from this session. And maybe of the year.

WHAT’S MY PROCESS?

First, we book a date- then I take a $250 deposit. We talk location and styling. We shoot in one location since I shoot the hour and a half before sunset.

Some locations allow us to move around and change up the scene. The rest of the payment is due the day we shoot.

The following day or days later, you will see 20 or so sneak peeks from our session. My turn around time is 4-6 weeks. You will typically receive 80-100 images.

You bring touch ups, the outfits, and I recommend flip flops incase we do barefoot or water shots. I bring a few props, and some fun poses for you. I can’t wait to meet you!

Women Empowerment Sessions are $1100 - but if you shoot in Lincoln Park take $100 dollars off.
