FALL RECAP- Wild Times- Seattle Portrait Photographer

What a whirlwind fall was! It was my busiest yet. Summer was also my busiest summer I have ever had business wise. In full honesty, I was very much thinking of moving to Sedona full time, and the universe was like, YOU BELONG IN WASHINTON. Before I got back last trip I was so fully booked up all summer with Weddings, Families, Maternity, Boudoir, Motorcycle shoots, Senior Photos, Newborns, you name it! You guys, this is my heaven. It’s all I’ve wanted for as long as I can remember, a successful photography business where I get to shoot what I love. I love LOVE! Whether its women empowerment or a lovely family, I am right where I want to be. Serving my purpose on this earth.

What did I learn? Well my turn around time got to be TOO LONG. What’s the solution? I have to say no more often and book less. And my prices are going up a bit for the New Year. This is really hard for me to do, every time. I haven’t raised my prices since covid times. I hear it all the time from people -that I need to charge more, and it is embarrassing. I do hand edit every image - and I feel like I AM WORTH IT. Something I have to continuously work on telling myself. I worry that I will loose amazing clients. The increase isn’t big enough to to cry over, but it will help me so much. I am a constant hustler and I need to slow my roll.

Being a family photographer is about so much more than taking photos — it’s about connection. Every family that steps in front of my camera brings their own story, their own rhythm, their own kind of love, and I’m endlessly grateful to be trusted with that.

I love my clients because they show up as they are — with laughter, chaos, tenderness, and real life unfolding in between. I get to witness quiet moments, playful energy, and deep bonds that can’t be posed. Those moments are the ones that matter most.

Over time, many of my clients become familiar faces — families I watch grow, seasons change, babies become little youngsters. It feels less like work and more like being invited into something meaningful.

Photographing families reminds me that love doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. It just has to be real. And I’m honored, every time, to help preserve that love — exactly as it is.

This spooky Halloween Shoot was so much fun in October. A group of friends got together and we got moody in the forest. One of the funnest shoots of the year!

This was my favorite elopement I have ever ever been a part of. We shot at The Hall of Mosses where they tied the knot, and headed to Ruby Beach for sunset. AMAZING. Grateful!

This wonderful amazing woman and I have sort of a standing tradition where she flips the camera off. It’s just hilarious every year.

I went to White Fish, Montana for a few days in November. I hiked a little around Glacier National Park in the rain, it was just magical. That town is so frickin adorable. And then I came home and turned 50! Had a small dinner celebration with my closest friends.
