AUTHENTIC BRANDING PORTRAITS

You can be fully yourself…and still be intentional.

You, But Elevated

The goal of a branding session isn’t to change who you are—it’s to refine how you’re seen. It’s the difference between showing up casually and showing up intentionally aligned.

You still wear what feels like you. You still move how you naturally move. You still carry your own energy whether you are serious, goofy casual, or a glamourous goddess. But let’s bring in thoughtful choices—like color, texture, and environment—to support your story visually.

Bethanne below did a 30 minute Lincoln Park mini. She is a mental health worker and was wanting some authentic headshots. I LOVE the colors she chose!

Lincoln Park 30 minute session

Dressing for the Landscape (Without Losing Yourself)

In the deep, moody greens of the Pacific Northwest, or along the soft, neutral tones of the beach, what you wear becomes part of the overall feeling.

This doesn’t mean matching perfectly.
It means harmonizing.

Think:

  • earthy tones (sage green (steer clear of forest green in the trees), cream, rust, soft browns) blues

  • muted colors that don’t compete with the environment

  • textures that move—linen, cotton, layers

Against dark green trees, softer tones help you stand out from the background.

At the beach, neutrals and flowing fabrics mirror the softness of the water and sky.

The result?
Images that feel cohesive, calm, and elevated—without ever feeling forced.

Michael Doyle - in my mind he is famous. I LOVE his work. Check out his website HERE Walking into his studio feels like a world full of magic.

The Feeling Matters More Than Perfection

Your branding photos aren’t just for looking at. They’re for feeling. When someone lands on your website or your Instagram, they should feel: your presence, your energy, and your essence.

Not just what you do—but who you are.

That’s what builds connection. That’s what draws people in.

Below - Lisa is a massage therapist who is reinvigorating her practice which is at her home. We started there and then she wanted the forest and the beach. Full Branding Session. She wanted to capture her fun and wild personality, as well as her kind heart and professionalism.

  • choose outfits that photograph beautifully

  • select locations that reflect your energy

  • move with guidance while still being natural

And this fun beautiful lady wanted to tap into her inner witchy or magical side at the end of our shoot for a little fun. And we got lucky because the fog rolled in adding to the mood!

Studio Branding Session

…with a splash of other kinds of fun!

This lovely lady wears a few different hats. She’s a singer - so she chose a glamourous dress for those. She’s a yoga teacher, so we did yoga. And then she wanted some “cozy” headshots.

And at the end, she wanted a bit of “flirty” fun. Not wanting full boudoir shots, just a few of her looking sexy and pretty as it was around her birthday and a new era.

Below - ASHLEY. She is a healer who is working on revamping her healing identity and career. She wanted sunny, fun, flowy, beautiful headshots with some big HERO images for her social media and website.

A professional Dirt Bike Rider! This one was amazing!

Rio is a healer and works specifically helping the gay community. His little dog is a part of him, and he wanted grounded, authentic images for his website and social media.

Think of accessories as extensions of your energy:

  • a well-loved hat

  • cup of coffee or tea

  • A blanket and champagne

  • your beloved pet

  • a book that feels like home

  • your journal

  • your acoustic guitar

  • a flowing scarf catching the wind

  • layered jewelry that feels lived in

  • a cozy knit thrown over your shoulders

These pieces add movement, texture, and depth—but more importantly, they add truth.

And ME - This is JUST ME in my happy place.

At the end of the day, your branding session should feel like stepping into your own story—just a little more intentional, a little more elevated, a little more seen.
