Epic Family Photos Mt. Baker - Seattle and Sedona Adventure Family Photographer
I am so lucky to know this family. Every year I get to see little Miss. Sunny get a little bigger and more beautiful every day. This year we went big with a family photoshoot at Artists Point. This location is absolutely perfect for not only the stunning PNW beauty, but you don’t have to walk more than 10 minutes to get to these epic 360 views.
If you can swing it, weekdays are less busy up here by far. We did this shoot in September on a weekday evening -and it was absolutely lovely!
Artists Point is 3.5 hours from Seattle, and since we shoot at sunset - plan for a late night or an overnight. It gets super busy on the weekend so I try to aim to shoot up there on a weekday. That being said, it is doable, there is plenty of room. In summer - BRING BUGSPRAY! The misquiotos have been relentless in July. The hike is not long, this is all off the parking lot. If your dressing up, bring comfy shoes as one option.
Artist Point offers views of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker, and it’s best to shoot there in the Summer and Fall. Summer is a later sunset for the littles, but fall you get home by 8.
This alpine landscape is pretty hard to beat out of anything in the whole beautiful magnificent state. And with many easy to hike paths and trails in the area, the payoff for the amount of effort is unmatched.
I absolutely love the colors this family chose that pop out from the landscape. Choosing the right colors is everything! My favorite color scheme to shoot in the green trees is rust, brown and ivory. Especially in the fall months.
A little pop of sun! We gave Sunny a snack break and empowered mom.
Adventure Family Sessions are 1200, and we shoot and explore for an hour and a half to two hours-until the sun goes down.
This mamma got her dresses at Joyfolie. And I brought the candle and the cape for a little drama at the end of our photoshoot.
