Lincoln Park Sessions West Seattle - West Seattle Family Photographer
Hello!
I decided to write a little blog about why I love shooting at Lincoln Park in West Seattle, and what that looks like.
I always meet up with my people at the NORTH parking lot. We walk in from there and shoot in a few of my favorite spots. The walk is about 5 minutes or so in (depending on the kids) We set our stuff down and shoot away. I guide you the entire shoot, as well as let things unfold.
If you signed up for a full session, we shoot in a few spots and then after about 45- an hour we walk back to the cars and drive just two minutes down to Lowman Beach Park. This is still part of Lincoln Park, but the beach is a long walk to get to - or a tiny little drive. You can park on the street on the beach and it’s less than a one minute walk in. Use this little break to snack in the car, drink some water, change, whatever. There are no restrooms at the beach.
The beach section of the shoot usually is about 15-20 minutes. I can get so many in 15 minutes, trust me.
The beach is ROCKY, so be mindful if you have heels:)
I love ending the shoot at the beach because it get’s us closer to sunset. As you can see in this blog, the beach (sky) can often look very different, depending on the sun and, well, if there is one. In the summer I know that sunset is late for little ones, so we can go down there and shoot anyway and I can work with the light. It could be cloudy so it doesn’t matter either way. The closer to sunset the better.
I absolutely LOVE West Seattle and I have lived here many years. This park is very special to me. And if you haven’t been there before, well you get to see the beauty of a new place at the same time as making memories that will last many lifetimes. Thank you for being here!
Full Family/Maternity or Couples Session is $950 - we shoot for 90 minutes and you get different forest spots and the beach up to 80-100 images.
Mini or Half Sessions are 550 - 30 minutes 30 images one spot- NOTE- If you want the beach it is sunset only. Cloudy days do work, but I always have to plan for sun. I will not work in bad lighting or risk the images not being the best!
