Photoshoot in The Vortex - Sedona Women Empowerment Portrait Photographer

Psychospiritual Integration

Ritual, Ceremony & Altar Curation

These are among the few of this woman’s offerings in Sedona.

Working with Sabina was nothing short of magical for both of us.

Sabrina brought a small bag with 4 dresses and accessories such as her favorite hat she scored at a thrift store, a fan she made, jewelry, beautiful flowers, and a pretty textured wrap. We started with light purple which went well with the green trees. Secret Slick Rock offers beautiful lighting behind the trees just before the sun sets.

We concentrated on the power and energy of the earth. Sabina loves to dance and move which made our shoot extra fun. I always urge my muse’s to take off their shoes while we shoot (when free of prickly things) and get grounded, relax, feel the air. We did a little smudging and she danced so beautifully.

A vortex is described to be the natural intersections of electromagnetic earth energy. Believers say that the forces can be felt physically and spiritually and is often the catalyst for healing and clarity. These energy centers are located in known sites around Sedona. I love photographing here. The colors, the trees, the wildlife. It feel like home.

“Replenish the connection that you have never truly lost with Earth.”
Robin Rose Bennett

“Be wild; that is how to clear the river. The river does not flow in polluted, we manage that. The river does not dry up, we block it. If we want to allow it its freedom, we have to allow our ideational lives to be let loose, to stream, letting anything come, initially censoring nothing. That is creative life. It is made up of divine paradox. To create one must be willing to be stone stupid, to sit upon a throne on top of a jackass and spill rubies from one’s mouth. Then the river will flow, then we can stand in the stream of it raining down.” Clarissa Pinkola Estes

"I hope you will go out and let stories happen to you, and that you will work them, water them with your blood and tears and your laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom."
